The representatives of the more than 50 member companies, organisations and institutions of Deutsche TV-Plattform elected their new board of directors today, Tuesday, at the association's general meeting in Berlin.
Nicole Agudo Berbel, Managing Director & Chief Distribution Officer Joyn / Seven.One Entertainment Group, was elected as the new CEO. She succeeds Andre Prahl, Chief Distribution Officer RTL Deutschland and Managing Director RTL Technology GmbH, who did not stand for re-election after eight years as Chairman and is stepping down from the Board. Sascha Molina, Production Director NDR, for ARD, and Dr Dietmar Schill, Vice-President R&D, Distinguished Engineer, Sony Europe, were re-elected as Deputy Chairmen.
Joachim Abel, Vice President Product & Processes TV, Deutsche Telekom, and Christoph Mühleib, Managing Director SES Germany, were also confirmed as members of the Board. Maren Pommnitz, Head of Home Connectivity & Entertainment, Vodafone, is a new member of the association's board. The term of office of the elected board is two years. The board of Deutsche TV-Plattform also includes the current heads of the working groups.

Following the digitalisation of distribution channels, we are now increasingly focusing on the IP transformation of the media industry and other topics such as content discovery, DVB-I, accessibility, sustainability and AI in the media. I would like to thank Andre Prahl most sincerely for his many years of outstanding commitment. Under his leadership, Deutsche TV-Plattform has always kept its finger on the pulse and continuously created added value for our entire industry.’
