Overview

The 7th joint Plugfest hosted by DTG Testing and the Deutsche TV Plattform (DTVP) will take place in Berlin at 3IT / Fraunhofer HHI from 5th - 7th December 2017. The equipment line-up includes TV sets, AV receivers, set-top boxes and PCs. Topics include interoperability with respect to HDMI interfaces and copy protection HDCP 2.2, the switching behavior between high dynamic range (HDR) and SDR and next generation audio / 3D sound. A detailed plan and schedule will be sent to the participants prior to the event. Non-members of DTVP / DTG are welcome and can attend the Plufest by paying a small attendance fee. The DTVP / DTG Plugfests are very polpular industry events, we advise to register at your earliest convenience.

File delivery format

If you plan to test your own content for playout during the UHD Plugfest, it must be provided in the following format:

Container MXF
Video Sony XAVC 300/480 in UHD-1 with 50/60 fps
Audio PCM Stereo (or Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital+ or MPEG-1 Layer II)


If you plan to provide a transport stream, please follow the logic of the encoding and satellite parameters on the “Basic encoding parameters” and “Satellite parameters”.

 

File delivery server

All content/transport streams that shall be tested during the UHD Plugfest can be uploaded to a server. Please contact Stephan Heimbecher (stephan.heimbecher@sky.de) or Adrian Baniewicz (adrian.baniewicz@sky.de) for details.

Shipments must arrive 30 Nov. or 1 Dec. 2017!

Please include all necessary cables (e.g. HDMI) as well as debug equipment.
For UHD displays: please ship the smallest model of the respective line.

PLEASE NOTE: When shipping from abroad, be aware of possible delay due to customs handling!

Equipment Pick-up

Pick-up of equipment after the event will be possible on 7/8 December 2017.
Please include a way bill and the shipment reference number on every package for pick-up.
As well as information about the number and weight of the packages.
Also please inform us about which courier service is picking up your equipment and when.
